The desire to travel has faded, life together in Costa Rica is so good that the "itch" has been scratched and now has gone.
We have seen and experienced more of the world in the last 2 and a half years than most do in their entire lifetime and I'm glad we have. I could not imagine being one of those 30+ middle class Americans who believes they have seen and understand the world by going abroad once to Cancun (or a on a cruise) and by watching CNN.
Was it a "cakewalk" to get to where we are, NO and I doubt that most women especially those from the west could do it, they just don't have the inner (mental) or physical (outer) strength for the sacrifice it takes.
My only regret I guess is having lost my fertility due to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), but I don't miss the mood swings, cramps or bleeding.
Was it worth it ? Damn straight it was !

Splitting our time between here and our new beach house is really nice as I like both houses and the hustle and bustle of San Josa and the solitude of the beach house (more about that later).
